Ahoy, Mate!

Hi everyone! Today, I am bringing you this adorable card using Kraftin’ Kimmie’s ‘Ahoy Sailor‘. Use this link to get 10% off of this adorable set!

As soon as I saw this set I knew I wanted to have Lucas on a ship! The ship was super easy to create. I used some kraft color paper that I scored every 1/2inch and then dragged an ink cube to make it look like wood. The sea is just a blue scrap of paper that I blended some blue inks and used a “vintage” Fiskars micro scallop scissors on. Luca was stamped on Bristol Smooth cardstock. I colored him using Arteza markers and Prisma color pencils. Highlights were added with Prisma color pencils and JellyRoll gel pen. Here is a close-up of the coloring on Lucas.

I am entering this card in the following challenges: Color Crazy Challenge, Creative Fingers, Cut It Up, Do All Kreatives.

No CANDY, really?

I had to do one more kitty Zombie! This one is very similar in colors and I love how he turned out! Again, this card was made with CC Designs Grumpy Pet set. This was stamped on Bristol Smooth cardstock w/ watercolor friendly ink and painted with Arteza markers. The gooey background was done with a combination of acrylic fluid inks. The sentiment “no candy!!!” was done using an alphabet set and the “really?” is part of this cute stamp set.

This is a picture of the adorable grumpy set. I believe this one is sold out at Artful Angel, but you can check out all the other CC stamps they carry.

Here is a reminder of the inspiration board for Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge! It was this inspiration board that made me want to try the background and color the kitty w/ that almost fluorescent green color. The colors are so vibrant! I hope you enjoy my kitty zombie #2.

March is here… and of course we are going GREEN!

Isn’t kitty zombie the cutest thing that will ever eat you?!?!? Kitty zombie is not actually a zombie stamp set it is an adorable grumpy cat from CC Designs. It’s a brand new release and I just got it and I WANTED to play with it so badly that I made him into a ZOMBIE. The sentiment is stamped using an Image Tree Alphabet. Inside it says “You are safe!”

Kitty cat was colored with Arteza waterbase markers into Bristol smooth paper. I made a “gooey” background with splatters of different liquid acrylic inks and finished it by blending some black soot Distressed Oxide Ink. The pie chart pattern paper is an old pack that I thought went perfectly. I did color some of the pie slices with Prisma color pencils.

Here is a picture of the entire card and of course the inspiration board for Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge! It was this inspiration board that made me want to try the background and color the kitty w/ that almost fluorescent green color. The colors are so vibrant like the one in the top! I can’t wait to send this to someone. LOL!!! Come back on the 14th to see my second kitty zombie!

I really wanted to use the inspiration board that Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge has put for February, but it wasn’t working out for my first card. I decided to give it a second go-around and I love how this one turned out!!! The skeleton face was a stamped image that was gifted to me and the background is from Whimsy Stamps. It’s a beautiful rubber stamp that leaves a perfect impression! I will be using this one over and over! I did a few splatters with black ink. The cool thing about this card is that there is some gel pen painting to give emphasis to some parts of the web and there are some black rhinestones too!

Here is the amazing pink inspiration board for Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge, where we do Halloween cards all year round.
