Party Animals!

This card was a blast to make! Seriously, look at those monsters! I had so much fun just adding fur with my paintbrush to them! Which one is your fav? They are throwing a party and I am not even sure if it’s a JUST BECAUSE party or a birthday one! I haven’t decided what the continuation to the “smile” sentiment will be inside the card.

  • Stamps: BoBunny (both monsters), Hero Arts (all the accessories),
  • Die Custs: Echo Park (smile),
  • Inks: Ranger (Oxide Inks),
  • Coloring Medium: Prima Marketing (watercolors).

I am sharing some closeups, because I want you to see all the cool texture you can add just w/a simple brush.CLICK ON ANY OF THE IMAGES to see a closeup.

Party Animals!

I am back with more Halloween!

Between computer problems (no computer at all) and the computer being slow it was painful to post or do anything online. You should see new and old cards that I created, but haven’t posted here.

I am going to start today with this adorable Catrina by Stamp Anniething. She was stamped in Bristol Smooth Cardstock and colored with Arteeza brush markers and water. The sentiment is from Taylored Expressions. This cute card is for the Two Old Bats Design Team.

Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge runs from the 2nd to the 28th of the month and the theme is always Halloween… ANYTHING related to Halloween! So have some fun with it and take a break from Holiday cards. LOL!!!

This sweet Catrina can be changed to be an obvious Halloween card or anything card by just changing the sentiment. Do not let a Halloween-looking image only be used during Halloween! This is for a friend of mine that loves Halloween, dark, skulls, and anything on that theme. The only thing I changed on this card was the sentiment.

btw. did you see the doodling on the pattern paper? Such a simple addition made the paper pop! I doodled both in white and in black.

Challenges: Two Old Bats, CraftySentiments, 4 Season Challenge, The Cutie Pie.

Spooky night?

I had a little b/w sneak peek of this cutie patootie on my instagram account. Here is the card finally. This one is for “The Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge” blog! I am part of their team and I have to say I am really enjoying making all these Halloween cards in advance! Halloween is just around the corner! woot woot!

supplies: stamp: Inkadinkado, inks: Distressed Oxides in carved pumpkin, pumice stone, black soot and mustard seed; die cuts: Craft Fancy: stitched rectangles.

A RAK in use and some Halloween cuteness!

It’s the middle of the month, which means a little reminder about the “Two Old Bats Halloween” Challenge! Halloween it’s getting closer! YAY! So get your cards ready. The challenge is an open challenge with a Halloween theme. The gals always have a cool inspiration board, let me share that with you.

As you can see I got a bit of inspiration with the pumpkins but instead of little kids dressed as ghosts I got a cute mummy! The image was a RAK I received from my friend Kellie. THANK YOU GURL!

supplies: pumpkins punch by EK Success, image RAK, glittery black paper behind the pumpkins from my stash. I am including a closeup so you can see the inside of the pumpkins and how they shimmer.

It’s Magic!

This little magician girl was a blast to color. I worked with a minimalistic palette, following MFT’s color challenge (yellow, green, orange and grey.) I believe she is retired, but I love her so much. The sentiment is unknown manufacturer. The background is a turnabout stamp from Concord & 9.

I have been trying to get these triangles right, I knew I was off on this background so I stopped after only two colors. Decided that I didn’t hate it but that it needed something, so I came in with a pencil top eraser to make the green dots. Die cutted the background with a stitched rectangle by Craft Fancy (my “local” store). I cut the little magician stamp from MFT with my Scan ‘n Cut and then die cut her and the white circle w/ some stitched dies. White embossed the sentiment on a black scrap of paper and attached. I actually watercolor her with my VIVID ink spots.

Stamps: magician by MFT, sentiment unknown, triangle Turnabout by Concord &9
Inks: Vivid Ink, Versamark
Embossing Powders: Alabaster white by Brutus Monroe
Die cuts: Rectangles by Craft Fancy, circles unknown
