November 12, 2009 · 6 Comments

Which means it is the Fresh Batch time to show up their samples w/ the new sketch at Stamps and Smiles… but it is also time to show a cricut sample for CropStop.com…  so of course I Pile them On…  I got “A Child’s Year” cartridge the other day and I must say… I FLIPPIN’ LOVE this cartridge!!!!!  It has everything, cards, tags, awesome silhouettes and an ALPHA!!!!  The following card was of course done using this cartridge; I used the card and the tag feature.  (I did open the tag in the Design Studio to hide the hole so it wouldn’t cut out).

It is THURSDAY which means a new sketch at the Fresh Batch at Stamps and Smiles!  I wanted to work on a little thank you box for Lisa Cook, I just need to buy some candy to send it her way!

scrappinggoodies

What do you give your scrappy friend for halloween?  You give them a goodie mini matchbook bag!!!!!  I was thinking of this goodie bag and thought it would be so cute to send some scrappy halloween goodies to my scrappy friends.  I was going to keep them simple but for some reason I just kept piling up the goodness…. so instead of making 10 of them I ended up w/ one… LOL!!!!

World Card Making Day Blog Hop and a RAK!

October 3, 2009 · 19 Comments

Hi everyone! Thanks for joining us  in our World Card Making Day Blog Hop! We had some much fun last year that we decided to repeat the festivities! Welcome to your last stop on the Blog Hop!  I am sure you have enjoyed one awesome set of cards from our Design Team members and now is my turn to show you what I got for you…

justanote

It is a very very simple card, and for that I really adore it!  My tip was to remember to use your punches with pattern paper.  Sometimes we forget that pattern paper can be punched w/ your border punches… we forget that punches are NOT only for cardstock.  In this sample I used a very subtle white printed pattern paper w/ the snowflake border punch and it makes it look like an eyelet trim.  Give it a Try!  and if you do try it and link me to your new sample I will pick a random player to get a little RAK from me.

Here is the list of the Blog HOP train!   thanks to all the ladies that helped to put this together and to all of you that came and hopped with  us!

Fun and Sweet… oh my!

June 29, 2009 · 1 Comment

Hi everyone!

Here is what I did with the “A Day In the Yard” Ribbon kit from Savvy N Sassy and with the July kit from 2Gals Scrappin’!  These are two a fun kits!  And who doesn’t love pom-poms and the beach?

becauseofyou

I wanted to add emphasis to the picture, since so much is going around it.  So I decided to add the blue pom-pom trim to the framed photo.  Notice that I since it was not the perfect match of color, I decide to add a few different flowers and sticker to play with different hues and values of blue.  And did you noticed I cut out a few flowers from the pattern paper, it helps not only to make it all seamless but also grounds the photo.  Challenge for this one is Pencil Lines and Scrappin’ the Music.  (I did this LO last week, but I couldn’t show it to you until now.)

inside-outLife is better with an Oreo!  (I think I might scrap that picture again with that statement as a title.)  I wanted to celebrate my daughters joy of eating an oreo.  I used some of the SnS May Kit – Ann’s Picks for the tag, some brown pom-poms from SNS June kit – A day in the yard, some scraps of green cardstock, one of the design papers from the July 2Gals Scrappin’ kit and some Doodlebug trims from CropStop.   The brown was just perfect to reflect the color of the Oreos, plus it added some fun and a celebrating touch, don’t you think?

Used 2 Gals Scrappin‘ June Kit that has Cosmo Cricket Snorkle Collection, added a few things including my June kit from SnS (Savvy N Sassy).  If you love ribbon go check out our prizes and sponsor at Pile It On!  Not sure if you can tell but the vellum where the journaling is written is dry embossed w/ a Sizzix Embossing Folder.

Some New and some not so new projects

May 25, 2009 · 2 Comments

This SnS ribbon kit is very down to Earth just like Ann!  I tried using it as main element and as just little add ons and it is one wonderful kit for both of those uses.

2kidsinlove

On this first sample, the ribbon is playing major roll on the page.  It is all about twisting and intertwining them, just like love!

Materials: Ribbon by www.savvynsassy.com; paper by Sweetwater; MM eyelets; Mustard Moon alpha stickers; Indie Art Cricut Cartridge

This page needed a frame, something that in a subtle way will bring your eye to the photos and ground all the elements together and what better use than RIBBON!

Materials: Ribbon by www.savvynsassy.com; Paper Pups Cricut Cartridge; Everything Else is the June kit at www.thescrappingedge.net

thankyou_ppearls

This card is all about the image, but it needed a little something to transition to the sentiment.  And some ribbon enhanced w/ some cute little sequin flowers was just what it needed.

Materials: Ribbon by www.savvynsassy.com; paper from www.thescrappingedge.net May kit; stamp Fiskars; Sequins Doodlebug Designs
