Tree card

April 29, 2009 · 8 Comments

allnatural_blog

I have been trying to finish up my Harmonie’s Monthly duties and I came up with this cute card, which I am submitting to Caardvarks challenge!  Pretty simple card, the tree trunk was just traced on the back of the brown pattern paper and then cut out and stamped.  Punched out the oval and embossed it using Fiskar’s embossing plates, then I wanted to add a bit more dimension so I cut out a few leaves from the pattern paper, embossed the leaf pattern, sanded and stick some silver Peel Offs.  The tree and the leaves are all in pop-dots.  Ribbons slanted to add some “greatness”… LOL!!! and more ribbon as a background for the saying.  I dusted my Basic Grey Notch tool and used it on the card, I like how it looks… maybe I’ll use this tool more often.

Round and Around…

April 26, 2009 · 8 Comments

My first time doing CCC (Creative Card Crew) too, this weekend was a weekend of exploring new challenge blogs.  The challenge was about creating card that had circles.  I think this card just covers that rule a few times…

  1. American Craft paper has circles
  2. Daisy Bucket polka dot paper
  3. Button
  4. the actual scalloped border of the opening frame was done by punching the GIGA Circle Scalloped punch
  5. SnS’ polka dotted ribbon
  6. Lollipop flower made of two circles
  7. Inside saying 1 more circle!

yes, when the card opens one of the layers of the lollipop flower holds the sentiment inside the card!  Cute, right?

Materials:
pattern paper: American Craft and Daisy Buckets from The Mosy Scrapper
Buttons: The Mosy Scrapper
Stamp: Studio G (I think)
Ink: Distress Ink
Ribbon: Savvynsassy.com
Other: Punch Giga Scalloped Circle; Sizzix big circle; Scalloped Scissors; American Craft plastic Flower from The Mosy Scrapper
